GMB’s Andi Peters kicks 'rude' Piers Morgan's book across the room in tense spat

Good Morning Britain 's Andi Peters and Piers Morgan clashed once again on Monday during a tense on-air spat.

Piers, 55 recently won the GQ Men of the Year Award for Best Personality of the Year, and so Andi, 50, congratulated him with an enormous sign when he joined Piers and Susanna Reid via video link.

Andi, who presents the competition segment from his shed when lockdown is implemented, congratulated Piers - but Piers was ungracious.

Piers teased Andi by repeatedly asking him when was the last award he received - and Andi's hilarious reaction was to pick up Piers' book and boot it across the room.

Holding up the sign, Andi said: "Congratulations Piers by the way, had a sign made for you, well done."

Piers replied: "Thank you, any trophies in your cabinet?"

"Loads! Hello?!" replied Andi. "Smash Hits poll winners party, top TV presenter for three consecutive years!"

Piers asked him: "What year was that?"

"That's irrelevant, it happened - I was twenty something," said Andi.

"Let me rephrase the question - what century was that? What millenium," Piers pressed.

"You're so rude!" exclaimed Andi, as Piers remarked: "It was literally last millenium."

Picking up Piers' book and kicking it, Andi joked: "Don't need that any more."

"You can kick it all you like, all you're doing is making it a bigger bestseller," boasted Piers.

"Is it true that the last award you won was in the last millennium?"

Andi refused to answer and pressed on with his competition segment, while Piers continued to make jokes about his age.

The pair have had several rows on air over the years, including when Piers accused Andi of "fat shaming" him.

And recently, Piers snapped at Andi that he would "pay him £3,000 just to shut up".

Andi was promoting ITV's 'Free Cash Friday' competition, which awarded a viewer £3,000.

Andi also mentioned that Aldi, who viewers could win a £200 voucher for, had "given Piers some award".

But Piers didn't seem to be too impressed and said: "Well, I'd pay you three grand just to shut up!"

Susanna Reid looked startled by Piers' comment while Andi appeared similarly stunned.
