GMB's Alex Beresford says it's possible to love both Prince Harry and the Royal Family

Good Morning Britain's Alex Beresford has bundled in on the Prince Harry debate after Piers Morgan once again hit out at the Duke of Sussex.

Prince Harry's comments that his life sometimes felt like The Truman Show, a movie where the main character's life is being broadcast without him knowing, earned him another tongue lashing by 56-year-old Piers.

The former breakfast time presenter called the Duke a "spoiled brat" for "yapping" about his personal life after Harry spoke out on Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast.

But weatherman Alex, 40, took to Twitter to say that the latest anger pointed in Harry's direction isn't necessary.

He tweeted: "The beauty of a podcast is that you can hear the way it was said. Did you listen or did you read the media summaries."

And he took what appeared to be a thinly veiled dig at his former colleague by adding: "Side note: It is possible to love Prince Harry with the same heart that you love the Royal Family with."

Alex's comments divided the opinion of his social media followers.

One commended his tweet, replying to him: "I listened and he said what he said. I suspect the naysayers didn't listen nor read the summaries, otherwise, their comments would be much different. But maybe not: they're so hung up on hating him & his wife."

Another agreed and wrote: "So true [Thumbs up emoji]. listen to the podcast not the headlines. Very different."

However, some simply didn't agree with Alex's take on the situation.

One of his followers snarled back: "That last statement is a BOLD LIE!"

A second put: "I agree with everything but the last sentence...That's a no from me."

A third also sensed the irony in the Duke going public with his views, writing: "The beauty is they left for privacy."

In the podcast, Harry explained how he felt "more free" since leaving the UK.

He said: "Here, I can actually lift my head and I feel different.

"My shoulders have dropped, so has hers [Meghan's]. You walk around feeling a little bit more free. I get to take Archie on the back of my bicycle. I never had the chance to do that."
