GMB Piers Morgan slams 'woefully wrong' Matt Hancock as government boycott continues

Piers Morgan slammed the Health Secretary Matt Hancock on Good Morning Britain today as the government boycott of the show continues.

Piers launched into an angry tirade against the Health Secretary after a government minister has not appeared on the programme for 146 days.

The GMB host was particularly furious that Mr Hancock would be on This Morning today, but refused to appear on his ITV show.

Dad-of-four Piers said he would ask the Health Secretary a range of questions, that in his opinion the public deserved to know.

Piers said : "I'd ask him why they stopped community testing, why they didn't have enough PPE, what's this protective ring around care homes when they let positive coronavirus cases back in.

"I'd ask him why did we let 20 million people fly in during the height of this pandemic, why did we then bring in quarantine.

"I'd like to ask him about masks because he said we shouldn't wear them and now we should.

"I'd ask him why in every stage of this pandemic has he made woefully wrong decisions."

Piers referenced the fact it's the 146th day the government is boycotting GMB.

He continued: "I'd ask these questions, but they don't have an answer.

"We have to now trust the government to make these monumental decisions that will affect our families and our businesses.

"Do you trust Matt Hancock, because I don't."

*GMB continues at 6am on ITV tomorrow
