GMB: Paddy McGuinness takes cheeky swipe at Patsy Palmer after she stormed off

Paddy McGuinness took a humorous swipe at Patsy Palmer today (March 19) when he appeared on Good Morning Britain.

The Lancastrian comedian spoke to hosts Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins via a videolink.

The tagline "Comedy Genius Paddy McGuinness" was displayed as he appeared on screen and he was quick to comment on it, reports the Liverpool Echo.

The 47-year-old said: "Look at that comedy genius, that is what you want, I won't be going anywhere during this interview, I'll still be here on Monday."

Charlotte and Kate nervously laughed and moved the conversation onto how Paddy had found lockdown.

Paddy's comments came after former EastEnders star Patsy stormed off the show earlier this week over the tagline put on screen during her interview.

As Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard started the interview she shut them down and said: "Yeah it is, you know what I actually don't want to do this interview, because I don't even want to look at what it says at the bottom of that screen, so I'm going to switch off, do a real Piers Morgan and say it's not ok to say addict to wellness guru on the bottom of the screen."

Susanna said: "Well huge apologies for that."

Patsy said: "My addictions that I had years ago that were talked about by me many many years ago and it's over."

Ben said: "I'm so sorry about that Patsy, huge apologies."

Patsy said: "Don't worry about it but I don't really want to talk to you."

During his interview Paddy admitted that lockdown had been tricky.

He said: "We've got kids and the tricky part is keeping them happy at home.

"Home schooling has basically been non existent, I just wanted to keep them happy, we would read with them and do drawing and painting, but lessons wouldn't have worked.

"The first day I took my kids to school and saw all the other parents high fiving each other was a lovely feeling.

"Its been tough, but I thank my lucky stars that we made it through."

GMB continues at 6am on ITV on Monday
