GMB hosts question Coleen Rooney's motive for confronting Rebekah Vardy in dramatic Twitter feud

Good Morning Britain presenters have questioned Coleen Rooney's motive for outing Rebekah Vardy on Twitter , as Kate Garraway told viewers "What do either have to gain?".

The 33-year-old has been referred to as ‘Wagatha Christie’ online after she unveiled her five month-long plan to find which account was 'leaking her instagram stories to the Sun newspaper'.

On Wednesday Coleen tweeted about her detective work, writing how she had blocked all of her followers from seeing her stories, except for one account - Rebekah Vardy's.

Over the past several months she revealed that she had 'posted a series of false stories to see if they made their way into the Sun newspaper'.

Soon enough she came to the conclusion that it most likely has been her fellow WAG pal's account spreading the gossip - dramatically ending her tweet with: 'It's ............Rebekah Vardy's account'.

Twitter reacts: Coleen Rooney accuses Rebekah Vardy's Instagram account of leaking stories about her

This morning Susanna, 47, told viewers how the whole ordeal has made her feel "awkward" and describing how "the internet just kind of broke" following Coleen's very public confrontation yesterday.

Since then, the feud has triggered a debate as to whether Coleen should have just called Rebekah instead, as well as questioning both of the ladies motives behind it all.

Entertainment reporter, Richard Arnold, asked what Coleen "would have to gain?" from unveiling her investigation so publicly , with Kate Garraway sternly adding: "What would either of them have to gain in a way by doing it? That's the strange thing."

Further into the show, Susanna added to the discussion by asking Ben Shephard: "There is also, would you do that? If I found out you were selling stories on me, from my personal Instagram stories account, I do think it's a bit weird.

"I think I would probably ring you and say 'Oi Ben'".

Plenty of people have since weighed in on the debate on Twitter to share their thoughts on the matter.

One person tweeted: "@GMB Coleen should not have outted things in this manner! Rebekah vardy is pregnant and definitely doesn’t need stress like this in a pregnancy! Grow up!! #vardygate #gmb."

Another added: "Coleen has clearly done some real investigative work and let the stories run, before commenting. GMB most definitely siding with Rebekah Vardy! #gmb ."

While a third simply said: "I'm just here for the Coleen and Rebekah memes."
