GMB's Ben Shephard apologises for technical blunder that leaves reporter speechless

Good Morning Britain viewers were very amused on Friday, as the live show was hit with a technical blunder.

During a range of scenes highlighting what was coming up on the show, reporter Jonathan Swain remained almost silent with it clear there was an issue with his microphone, or the camera.

Charlotte Hawkins had just asked about the new quarantine rules, or lack of, with people holidaying or landing in the UK amid the coronavirus pandemic.

But as the visual appeared on screen, Jonathan was talking without any sound - and all that could be heard was slight murmurs.

He almost sounded robotic, as bits of speech were played out on the show.

Host Ben Shephard apologised to fans as he revealed the show had faced a technical issue, but viewers couldn't help themselves.

Another added: "I’m guessing we have to lip read lol."

A third commented: "Turn on the mic!"

Meanwhile, a number of others didn't even appear to notice the moment as the show went on.
