GMB fans thrilled to see 'dream team' reunited as Bill Turnbull hosts

GMB fans were thrilled today as Bill Turnbull returned to co-host the show with Susanna Reid.

Bill will be on the show until Wednesday alongside Susanna, much to the delight of viewers.

Bill and Susanna have an established presenting history as they used to present BBC Breakfast together until Susanna left for ITV in 2014.

Bill, 65, who quit the show in 2016, has been fighting prostate cancer and now works on Classic FM.

Today the pair were reunited, with Susanna seeming especially pleased to have her former colleague back.

Susanna and Bill joked about their former BBC days, with Bill trying to keep them to time after they went over their allotted slot with a minister.

Bill made a dig at former host Piers Morgan as they argued as he said: "I thought I was going to have to storm out of the studio at one stage.... oops, embarrassed silence."

And many people took to social media to comment on the "dream team" being back together.

Fi said: "Susanna seems so much more relaxed and happy with Bill Turnbull by her side, great to have him back on tv again, the dream team are reunited!"

Stephanie said: "How good is Bill Turnbull though? Kind, professional and respectful. One of a kind."

Susan McLellan said: "Adore Bill Turnbull. Professional, measured and incredibly intelligent. @susannareid100 can you please get him to guest host again soon."

Gary Bond said: "Great to see Bill and Susana back together again. Looking good Bill."

And @susannaedits said: "Love to see @billtu back with @susannareid100 on #GMB this morning. It’s great to see an old partnership back together again and Bill looks so well!"

*GMB continues at 6am on ITV tomorrow
