GMB fans think Kate Garraway is trying to 'outdo' Susanna Reid this week

Good Morning Britain fans think Kate Garraway is trying to 'outdo' Susanna Reid this week.

The TV presenters swapped roles for Friday's ITV show as Kate co-hosted alongside Ben Shephard.

And viewers were quickly distracted by the 54-year-old's latest outfit.

Kate opted for a bright green dress with puffy, dotted dark blue sleeves - the day after Susanna was mocked by viewers for wearing her 'dressing gown' to work.

But the illusion of Katie's dress made it look like she was wearing a tabard - and viewers hit social media to talk about it.

"@GMB is Kate trying to outdo Susanna’s outfit as most talked about this week?" tweeted one.

Another said: "Is @kategarraway about to start cleaning the studio? Thought for a moment she was wearing a tabbard! #GMB."

"@GMB loving Kate not the school dinner apron look. Blue and green should not be seen unless a colour in between," a third added.

A fourth asked: "@GMB Love you Kate but you've forgotten to take your tabard off?"

Others, however, loved it.

One fan said; "I'd love Kate Garraway's @gmb wardrobe. She always looks so stylish."

"@GMB Can I just say, you’re all looking fabulous this morning. On a full Friday morning, you’ve really brightened my day! Kate, I love your dress," another added.

A third tweeted: "Kate your dress is lovely and Ben you match kates colours ! Very nice both of you."

Susanna on Thursday's show (ITV)

As mentioned, it comes after Susanna defended her outfit choice on Thursday's edition of the ITV news programme.

Viewers quickly began tweeting about her look, leading to Susanna saying on air: "I just want to point out, I did get dressed this morning," as viewers could hear laughter off-screen. "I haven't come in my dressing gown."
