GMB fans in shock at Richard Madeley's 'Trump tan' as he sports new orange complexion

Good Morning Britain viewers were in disbelief as they clapped eyes on Richard Madeley's very bright tan.

The TV host – who some have compared to comedy character Alan Partridge – looked strikingly more orange than usual as he filled in for Piers Morgan while he was away on an Easter break.

Richard, 62, appeared to have changed skin tone over night, and it didn't take fans long to pick up on it on social media.

"Has # RichardMadeley had a fight with a bottle of fake tan & let it win?!, " one fan wrote after spotting his new look.

While another added: "# gmb somewhere in a land far away, willy wonka is searching the factory for an escaped oompah loompa # richardmadeley".

Others flooded to compare Madeley to Ross Geller from Friends after his famous spray tan fail, while others even likened him to the US president Donald Trump.

"#GMB Richard Madeley with his quiff & (fake) tan is starting to look like Donald Trump!," one cwrote, as another chipped in: "Oh my god! what colour of mahogany is # richardmadley he could be Donald trumps love child! # gmb".

It isn't just the GMB presenter's look that fans have noticed since he begun presenting duties this week, as his rambling presenting style has also got their attention.

This has got him into hot water a couple of times – such as when he accidentally let out a rude word mid-interview.

Interviewing The Voice winner Molly Hocking and her coach Olly Murs, the TV host accidentally said the word "s**t".

Speaking to the singing sensation, Richard asked: "How do you feel? Because obviously when you wake up, the first thing you think about is the cat. You put the kettle on, and then suddenly, reality really kicks in and you remember...

"How do you feel when you think: 'Oh, s**t I won it!?'"

In the same episode, he also told Mayor Of London, Sadiq Khan to "stop d**king about," earlier in the episode.
