GMB fans in hysterics as grandfather, 91, late for Covid jab makes rude jab at Piers Morgan

Good Morning Britain viewers quickly fell in love with a grandfather, 91, whose interview with a CNN reporter went viral yesterday - particularly after his rude jab at Piers Morgan.

Martin Kenyon was interviewed yesterday as he became one of the first to receive the Covid-19 vaccination, but his quintessentially British demeanor and humour quickly became an online hit.

And, appearing on GMB today, it certainly appears he wasn't a one hit wonder as he made pointed barbs at Piers and thoroughly entertained viewers.

"It's rather ridiculous, isn't it," Martin responded after being asked about his overnight fame. "I had hoped it was a sort of 24-hour nonsense but anyway, here we are."

Piers insisted that they were delighted to have him and insisted that they would get Martin's jokes.

The presenter asked: "You made a quip about your lunch being absolutely terrible but I think they took it too seriously. Can you tell us what that was?"

"No, I don't know why I said that. It was delicious," he replied as the crew in the studio began laughing. "It was a prawn sandwich. I don't eat sandwiches, that's the answer, and I decided at home to get a sandwich and a glass of orange squash. But a deep down interesting subject."

He was stunned, however, when Piers revealed his grandchildren's names - Molly and Leo.

"God, you know that already?" Martin asked.

"I know a lot about you, Martin, because I found you such a brilliant, amusing human," Piers said. "And this is extraordinary-"

Martin interjected: "And who are you?"

Susanna exploded with laughter as she clapped, announcing: "Brilliant!"

And fans were equally amused by Martin and took to Twitter to comment, with one writing: "#GMB who are you... PRICELESS."

While another commented: "Martin Kenyon is a legend!! #nastylunch #GMB."

A third wrote: "This Martin Kenyon fella's absolute gold #GMB."
