Good Morning Britain viewers were a little distracted as the hosts grilled Rishi Sunak on the show on Thursday.
Hosts Susanna Reid and Alastair Campbell asked the finance minister about the lifting of coronavirus measures, and whether businesses will be impacted on July 19.
They also asked about the NHS pay review, and for his thoughts on if it might be too soon for "Freedom Day".
But viewers tuning in quickly spotted something unfolding in the background of the shot, as Rishi spoke on the show.
He was discussing the "breaking" of the link between cases and hospitalisations thanks to the vaccine rollout, amid comments it had not been broken but instead weakened.
Susanna was arguing that the two terms were entirely different things, while the show guest suggested they were still looking into it.
What they didn't appear to notice during this commentary was that behind the government minister, a random man was stealing the limelight.
Someone who worked in the office in the background was caught lifting up his top, revealing their naked belly to the camera.
He then began to rub and scratch his stomach in front of his amused colleague who pushed him away.
It wasn't clear at first whether the man in question knew he was being filmed, but judging by his colleague's reaction it seemed he did.
The interview continued with no mention of the funny moment, while it certainly didn't go unnoticed by viewers.
Taking to Twitter, many began commenting on the moment as others shared a clip of it online.
One viewer wrote: "Fair play to the guy rubbing his belly in the Background of the Sunak interview on #gmb."
Another agreed: "A guy getting his belly out in the background and having a proper rub on live TV."
A third tweeted: "Check the 'belly rubber' out in the background."
Meanwhile, a fourth viewer wrote of the moment: "Why is a guy rubbing his naked belly?"
A fifth fan was very amused of the scene intruder, adding: "Just seen that, so funny."
