GMB fans delighted as Bill Turnbull and Susanna Reid reunited 7 years after BBC Breakfast

Good Morning Britain viewers were delighted as former co-presenters Susanna Reid and Bill Turnbull were reunited to host once again - seven years after they appeared on BBC Breakfast together.

Susanna, 50, left the BBC in 2014 following her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing the year before to join ITV alongside Piers Morgan.

Bill, 65, decided to quit BBC Breakfast in 2016 after 15 years presenting the show. Two years later he confirmed that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

"I'm delighted beyond words," Bill said as he greeted viewers this morning. "It's been too long, Susanna!"

But Bill admitted that it had been "painful" getting up so early once again.

Piers quit Good Morning Britain earlier this year after refusing to apologise for remarks he made about disbelieving Meghan Markle over her comments regarding her feeling suicidal.

Since then, GMB has been filling Piers' seat with an assortment of presenters, with ITV yet to confirm who will be his permanent replacement.

Ahead of his appearance on the ITV daytime show, Bill said that he was "not thinking" about Piers while sitting in his seat.

"Well, I’m not thinking, ‘What would Piers do about this, what would Piers do about that?’" he said.

"I’m just playing my own game."

Opening up about working alongside Susanna again, Bill said: "I love Susanna. We have a mutual respect and have known one another over 20 years.

“She is so talented, works very hard. And now that she’s getting more sunlight, she can blossom."

This comes after Bill recently spoke about utilising spices, garlic and "cannabis products" to help him through his cancer.

Speaking to The Sun, he said: "Exercise is hugely important and yoga is very good for your mental health. I take probably too many different supplements — turmeric, berberine, a spoonful of black seed oil, which is like tar soaked in liquid, a sea fish oil and a teaspoon of my own honey.

“I take CBD, the legal form of cannabis, and the capsules are made from hemp.”
