GMB fans call out Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins 'talking over each other'

Good Morning Britain viewers have called out consistent "talking over each other" occurring between presenters Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins.

Ben Wallace, Secretary of State for Defence of the United Kingdom, appeared on the show on Monday to discuss the current crisis in Afghanistan.

Over the weekend, the city of Kabul was taken over by the Taliban as the country's government collapsed mere weeks from US and UK troops pulling out of the country after 20 years of a presence in the country.

Presenters Charlotte and Kate were keen to ask tough questions of the defence minister but the pair consistently interrupted and spoke over each other during the interview.

As Charlotte asked about what was being done for the "rest of the country" rather than just "getting out" UK personnel, Kate was heard exclaiming: "You've failed there, you've failed haven't you?!"

Charlotte continued her line of questioning regardless and continued to ask if the gains made for women's rights in Afghanistan would be damaged by the Taliban seizing control in the absence of Western coalition forces.

Ben Wallace criticised the deal reached by former US President Donald Trump for "indicating to the Taliban that they had won".

After the minister discussed aiding people to get out of Afghanistan, Kate said: "Sorry, can I just ask one question?"

However, Charlotte carried on with her questioning before recognising they were talking over each other, saying: "Sorry, Kate."

Charlotte then carried on questioning the minister about the humanitarian crisis developing.

Taking to social media, a number of viewers could not help but notice the attempts of each presenter to speak over the other.
