ITV has confirmed that Richard Madeley will be returning to host Good Morning Britain next week with Susanna Reid.
The TV veteran, 65, will be back on GMB to present the show after a successful week of hosting this week.
A dramatic, American-style trailer aired during the ad break teasing his return as Richard told viewers: "I'm unpredictable. I'm not often lost for words."
Clips from this week then showed Richard interviewing naturists and then Susanna saying: "Richard Madeley is a vampire."
He exclaimed in response: "What?!"
Back in the studio, he declared: "I really don't like it when people don't answer a straight question."
As various politicians - and Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood - flashed up on screen, Richard could be heard saying: "You're not dealing with a simple question, it's really straightforward."
He then told viewers: "Join me with Susanna [Reid] on Good Morning Britain."
This comes after Richard became involved in a number of clashes with Dr Hilary Jones over the delaying of lockdown.
The government had pinpointed Saturday June 21st as the day that lockdown would be lifted fully, but medical experts have said that it is too soon due to the rise of the Indian variant.
Dr Hilary had agreed with the suggestion that it should be delayed, but Richard had interrupted as he asked: "But Dr Hilary, it's going to be months and months until the entire country is vaccinated. So we stay like this until the autumn?"
"I know it's a nuisance for people," Dr Hilary said.
Richard retorted: "It's more than a nuisance!"
The next day, the pair clashed once again, with Richard branding the government's science advisors "the Chuckle Brothers".
He also lashed out at Oxford University students for removing a portrait of the Queen, calling them "thick".
Students at one of the university's colleges have reportedly agreed to remove the painting as "patriotism and colonialism are not really separable".
Discussing the decision, Richard said that he "couldn't help but think it was a wind-up".
Picking up a £10 note with the Queen's face on it, he said: "If you're watching at Magdalen - you won't be as you won't be awake until 9-10 - but assuming that you are, would you rip this up? It's got a picture of the Queen on it, bit of colonial culture going on there. So would you stop using cash?
"Actually, I can't help think this is a wind-up because it's so stupid. It's really thick."
