Glum James Argent breaks cover after TOWIE confirms he's left show

James Argent has broken cover after TOWIE bosses confirmed they're no longer working with him.

The reality star puffed on an inhaler as he headed to the Peacock Boxing Gym in London today after a spokesperson confirmed he will not be returning to the ITVBe show.

"Lime Pictures aren’t working with him, and it has sparked more concerns among his friends who fear he isn’t looking after himself," a source told The Sun of the star.

“His weight has rocketed recently which he says he plans to tackle.”

Arg, 31, was recently spotted filming for the series, but a TOWIE spokesperson tells Mirror Online, "there are no further plans to film with him at this time."

And it comes just days after Arg revealed he'd turned his back on drink and drugs, explaining his new sober life had contributed to his weight gain.

"I'm proud at myself I've been able to do really well career wise in the last nine months, I’ve stayed sober but instead of me going out with mates doing drugs... I’m probably acting out on food," he told This Morning, having been advised to lose 10 stone.

Arg - who recently split from co-star Gemma Collins - checked into the Priory in 2014, and also visited a Thai rehab facility three years later for his 'mental and physical wellbeing'.

And last year he took time out from TOWIE to attend a facility in London as an outpatient.

“It’s not been an easy time but I’m happy to be back in a programme that gives me the ongoing support that I need," he said in a statement at the time.

"I’m thankful for the incredible support I have received from my family, close friends and colleagues."

In February he revealed he was six months sober, telling the Loose Women panel he was in 'great place'.
