Glover Quin had a smart retirement plan

Last week, after 10 years of service to the NFL, Lions safety Glover Quin called it a career.

He was a smart player both on and off the field. While a lot of other NFL players were buying fancy cars, huge houses, and taking luxury vacations, Quin wasn’t.

According to Pro Football Talk, Quin states that he saved about 70 percent of his income after taxes. That allowed him and his family to live comfortably, while still being able to save up. Or has he calls it, “sacrificing a little bit in his 20s” so he can have a great life after football.

Hmm, his sacrifices in his 20s looked a little different than my sacrifices in my 20s. I guess that’s why I’m writing about his retirement, and he’s out there living it!
