Gloria Jean's is coming to Glasgow with the Australian coffee franchise set to open its first Scottish store in our city.

This Easter, the coffee chain will arrive at the St Enoch Centre amidst a UK expansion, with the Glasgow venue being described as their 'flagship' UK store.

The company plans to open further stores across Scotland in the coming years.

They announced: "Gloria Jean’s Coffees is an Australian coffee franchise. The organisation has more than 760 coffeehouses in 55 countries, with over 460 in Australia and more than 50 throughout the Unites States.

"Owned by the Retail Food Group, it is now expanding into the UK and their first Scottish branch will be in Glasgow.

"The company plans to open a further 13 coffeehouses in the UK across the next two years, including in Aberdeen, Ayr and Newton Mearns in Scotland.

"In 2018, they signalled their intent to open a total of 190 sites in the UK, providing between 2000 and 3000 jobs. The UK’s Master Franchise Partner is Glasgow-based Naweed Nasir."
