Aberdeen manager Stephen Glass faced an awkward post-match interview when he touched on the sizeable travelling support that told him: "Get to f***".
The away fans weren't happy on Saturday night when they watched Dundee pick up their first league win of the season at Dens Park with the Dons on the receiving end.
Leigh Griffiths and Luke McCowan did the damage for the hosts and despite Christian Ramirez pulling one back and a grandstand finish that had over 10 minutes of injury time the Dee held on.
That prompted a furious away section, 2,500 strong on a Saturday night, to turn on Derek McInnes' summer replacement in the Pittodrie dugout.
And Glass could hear their frustrations loud and clear as Aberdeen now sit ninth despite some big name signings.
He told the BBC: "At times it can feel like you're banging your head against a brick wall.
"I'm well aware of the situation, we're in a hole at the minute. But there is a group of people who can find their way out of it.
"The support were brilliant tonight — obviously I hear them singing, and things like that.
"I know what they're looking at but it's something you've got to stand up to and take on the chin. If you want to manage a club like this that's what happens when things aren't great."
The boss sounded candid but frustrated as he admitted he needs to improve things or he won't be in the Granite City for long.
Glass said: "The reality of managing football clubs like this is the reality of playing for football clubs like this, you don’t last very long if you can’t win games.
"Results like this, you don’t know what is going to happen. The proof will be in the pudding."
