Global steel output falls 8.7% in May year on year - WorldSteel

Global crude steel production fell 8.7% to 148.8 million tonnes in May from a year earlier, World Steel Association data showed on Monday.

Crude steel output from China, the world's top producer and consumer of the metal, increased 4.2% to 92.3 million tonnes in May.
