Global recruitment firm LA International pledges to create 50 new jobs after Queen's Award win

Global recruitment and project solutions consultancy LA International has revealed plans to create 50 new jobs after being presented with a prestigious Queen's Award for International Trade.

The Stoke-on-Trent company was one of 17 West Midlands firms which received the accolade for 2021 earlier this year, in recognition of its continuous achievement and "outstanding continuous growth" in overseas sales over the last six years.

Now - after being presented with the honour by Staffordshire's Lord Lieutenant at a special ceremony last week - the business has unveiled plans to create more than 50 new jobs in 2022/23.

The recruitment drive forms part of the company's five-year growth strategy which also includes significant investment in its facilities, infrastructure, technology and workforce.

LA International's founder, chairman and chief executive officer Paul Lukic said: "I am delighted that LA International has again received this internationally recognised and highly sought after award for a second five-year term, in recognition of our contribution to flying the flag of British enterprise.

"The board of directors are privileged to accept this award on behalf of LA International and all of our staff who, with sustained effort, have continued to drive the business forward and achieve our targeted expansion."

Sales director Jamie Davies added: "International trade has been at the heart of our company since its inception in 1982, and will remain so long into the future.

"Recent trading conditions have been challenging for many industries operating internationally but thanks to the dedication, hard work and resilience of our staff, many of whom have been with us for 10, 20 and 30-plus years, we are in excellent shape as we enter 2022.

"We are very proud of our business, what we have achieved and most of all, of the people that we work alongside each day that make up LA International."
