Airlines and other travel companies saw gains, while technology shares continued to suffer losses. Also, the unemployment rate in France between July and September has jumped to 9 percent, as the effects of the pandemic on the economy continue to be felt. The country's national statistics office expects more than 800,000 jobs to be lost in 2020.
