Women and girls continue to fare worse across many headline development indicators - from poverty and health to education and political participation. But what's holding back progress on gender equality? And what can be done to make the world a better place for women and girls?
In this edition of our new Global Development podcast, we look at the impact of the global financial crisis on women around the world, examine new ideas to push forward progress on gender issues, and ask what can be done to tackle gender-based inequalities in the 21st century.
