The Global Climate Strike, an international event which aims to take a stand against the climate crisis, has begun.
Thousands of people across the world have taken the day off from school and work to highlight the detrimental impact climate change is having on the world.
The Global Climate Strike consists of two days of organised strikes – on Friday 20 September, days before the United Nations Climate Action Summit, and on Friday 27 September.
With environmental activist Greta Thunberg at the helm of the movement, protesters have demonstrated their ingenuity with a range of creative, eye-catching and bold signs.
