Glider crashes near Stroud leaving man with life-threatening injuries in Bristol hospital

A glider crashed in Gloucestershire yesterday (March 24) resulting in a man being taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Gloucestershire Live reports the incident happened at 4.50pm when a member of the public reported they had seen and heard the glider come down at Aston Down airfield near Stroud.

Police officers found the man badly hurt at the scene and quickly took him to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

Air ambulance confirmed that the man has life-threatening injuries.

Gloucestershire Police said that air accident investigators have now taken over the situation after being informed.
