Glentoran vs Linfield ticket details announced for August 31 clash

Fans attending this month's Big Two derby will have to provide proof of being double vaccinated or a negative Covid-19 test.

That's part of the requirements put in place by home club Glentoran for their game against Linfield on Tuesday, August 31.

The glamour game will be a ticket-only match with a restricted capacity due to ongoing Covid-19 protocols.

The club said on its website: "Match tickets for the first “Big Two” match of the season will go on sale online shortly. The ticket only match will be at the Oval on Tuesday 31st August (kick off 7.45pm).

"The Oval will not be at full capacity for the match. However our Security Manager has been working very closely with the relevant authorities to enable us to maximise allowable attendance levels at this game."

The club said supporters would have to adhere to the following essential requirements:

"We have established the following email address for Glentoran supporters who are unsure of any of the issues involved, have other questions re: restrictions or are hesitant to attend due to covid-19," the statement added.

"Just contact covidassist@glentoran.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible."

Glentoran open their season away to Dungannon Swifts on August 28, while Linfield host Crusaders on the same day.
