Glentoran striker Paul O'Neill on radar of cross-channel clubs

A number of clubs across the water are eyeing up moves for Glentoran 's Irish Cup hero Paul O'Neill.

The 20-year-old striker scored the opener in Friday night's extra-time victory over Ballymena United at Windsor Park.

It saw the Glens lift the famous trophy for the 23rd time, and the first since 2015.

A number of young players have already made the move across the water this summer, the latest being Glenavon winger Josh Daniels who signed for Shrewsbury Town on Monday.

Linfield's Joel Cooper also completed his move to Oxford United last month to link up with former Glenavon star Mark Sykes.

Oxford are one of the clubs believed to be keen on O'Neill, who scored 12 goals for the Glens last season.

Blackpool are also being linked with the exciting young striker.
