Glentoran's New Year trip to Cliftonville to be shown live on Sky Sports

Cliftonville and Glentoran will feature in the next Danske Bank Premiership match to be broadcast on Sky Sports in the New Year.

The fixture between the Reds and Ovalmen, who currently lie first and second in the table, will be televised live from Solitude on Monday, January 17.

The all-Belfast clash, which will have a 7.45pm kick-off, is the third Premiership game to be shown live on Sky this season.

The broadcaster covered Larne’s dramatic 1-1 draw with Linfield at Inver Park on October 25 when a late Jordan Stewart equaliser sealed a share of the spoils for the visitors.

They also showed Coleraine’s trip to Crusaders on October 4 when goals from Eoin Bradley and Josh Carson secured a 2-0 win for the Bannsiders.

The NI Football League’s partnership with Sky Sports will see a total of five Danske Bank Premiership matches covered live this season.

The BetMcLean League Cup final will also be broadcast by Sky across the UK and Ireland with the final scheduled for February 19.

Nine Danske Bank Premiership games have been broadcast or streamed live by BBC NI or Sky Sports since the start of October.
