Glentoran striker Darren Murray will be offered the chance to explain his absence from Saturday's Irish Cup game against Portadown.
Murray is expected to meet with Glens boss Mick McDermott and other club officials this Thursday.
It comes after Murray did not turn up for the club's Irish Cup fifth round tie at the Oval, which the Premiership side won on penalties.
McDermott said after the game that Murray had been named in the squad but didn't appear for the match.
Murray then tweeted on Sunday that he had informed his manager that he would be away in Liverpool over the weekend.
McDermott told Belfast Live Sport on Tuesday that he will sit down with Murray this week.
"Darren Murray failed to show up for our game against Portadown. That is a fact," the Glens boss said.
"Darren will be offered the chance to explain his absence to the management team. We are hoping to meet later this week.
"We will meet with the player and hear his version of events."
