Glentoran FC announce new long-term deal for Luke McCullough

Glentoran have announced that defender Luke McCullough has committed his long-term future to the club.

McCullough has signed a new three-year deal with the East Belfast giants.

The 27-year-old was Glentoran's Player of the Year last season, having played 40 games in his debut year at the Oval.

He was also named in the Uhlsport NI Premiership Team Of The Year

McCullough told www.Glentoran.com : “It was a very easy decision for me to commit to the club until 2024.

"I’ve settled into the club really well. Have a great group of teammates so I’m glad it’s all sorted and I can concentrate solely on football and doing my bit to bring success to the club and fans in the coming years”.

Glens boss Mick McDermott believes McCullugh's long-term commitment is evidence of the club's ambition.

Last season the Glens finished third in the Premiership and reached the final of the Co Antrim Shield.

“Luke has been superb since his arrival," McDermott said.

"Not only in terms if his performances, but also in the level of professionalism he brings to the club every single day. He has shown the Glentoran fans his quality and it is a clear sign of where our club is moving that he has so enthusiastically committed himself for the next three seasons.

"Exciting times ahead at this club."
