Glentoran duo watch on as Derry City secure FAI Cup triumph

Glentoran duo Patrick McClean and Conor McMenamin were interested spectators at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday afternoon as Derry City won the FAI Cup final.

Ruaidhri Higgins' side swept aside Shelbourne in the showpiece final running out 4-0 winners in the end much to the delight of McClean and his brother James, who were cheers on their hometown club from the stands.

Glens teammate McMenamin, who is awaiting the results of a MRI scan on his injured fibula after he was stretchered off against Coleraine on Friday night, accompanied them on Sunday afternoon.

McMenamin is facing up to eight weeks out of action as a result of a tackle by Coleraine's Dean Jarvis in a bad-tempered 0-0 draw at The Showgrounds.

The Northern Ireland international was shown on television enjoying the final alongside teammate Patrick and his brother and Wigan star James as Derry City put Damien Duff's side to the sword.

Goals from former Crusaders star Jamie McGonigle, Jordan McEneff and Cameron McJannet (2) give Derry a sixth FAI Cup win.
