Glentoran announce double signing on busy day of contract news

Glentoran announced a double signing and several contract extensions on Tuesday.

The East Belfast giants teased out the arrivals of midfielder Gaël Bigirimana and goalkeeper Dayle Coleing.

Bigirimana is a 26-year-old midfielder who has featured for Barundi's national side and played at the 2019 African Cup of Nations.

The former Coventry City and Newcastle United player had a brief loan spell with Rangers back in 2015 and has also played in Scotland with Hibernian and Motherwell.

The Glens have also signed Gibraltarian professional goalkeeper Coleing.

The 23-year-old joins from Gibraltar National League side Europa FC.

Coleing has featured for Gibraltar's national team, and made his debut in September last year in a European qualifier against Denmark.

Meanwhile, Glentoran have also announced new contracts for several players, including veteran goalkeeper Elliott Morris and defender Stevie Gordon.

Ciaran O'Connor, Cameron Stewart and Mal Smith have also signed new extended deals with the Irish Cup winners.
