The panic buying behaviour of local shoppers amid the coronavirus threat has continued in the region this morning after the iconic 'Mick and Chris' market stall sold out of a handful of products.
However spokesman Christopher MacNamara assures the public that it is business as usual tomorrow as the stall will continue to operate with available produce.
"There's not an overabundance of vegetables but at the same time it is not going to be short supplied and as we enter the cooler months the supply will get better," Mr MacNamara told the Singleton Argus.
"But what we are doing today would be five to ten times busier than your average Friday."
By 11am the Glenridding based stall, which is open each Friday and Saturday, had completely sold out of potatoes (they had stocked 1500kg worth).
Pumpkins also proved to be a popular item despite their limited stock while the farm has been inundated by requests for cabbage from multiple Chinese restaurants outside of the region.
However both Chris and his father Michael remained composed throughout the day.
"I think this panic buying will slow down and then not many people will sell much given how much food everyone has already bought," he playfully added.
"Sure, it has been busier than Christmas.
"Potatoes, onions and greens have been shifting but there are plenty of vegetables in the ground growing so we just need to be patient."
