Glen Powell has set gossip fiends into a tizzy by recounting an incident with a “recently cancelled” celebrity at a party.
The Anyone But You star recalled the incident during a recent appearance on Jake Shane’s podcast Therapuss, saying it took place at a “Hollywood party” which was attended by a male celeb “that had been on the ropes in terms of getting cancelled”.
“This person had made some of my favourite movies and I was like, ‘Oh, this is great,’” Powell revealed.

After exchanging small talk about being a “big fan” of each other’s work, Powell said a nearby photographer asked whether he and the unnamed celeb wanted to take a photo together, which naturally made him hesitant.
“This person was recently cancelled and it was not good. I was a fan of their work but not a fan of their choices,” he told Shane.
“I was kind of just being nice, but then when they wanted to take a picture with you, I realised very quickly — I was like, ‘I don’t know if this is a good idea,’” Powell added.
While Powell said the celebrity “clearly clocked” how iffy he was about sharing a picture, he nonetheless held firm and refused to get the snap.
That move was probably for the best, since Powell described the person as having a “toxic” face — and not in the serving cunty face card kinda way.
“I realised, this guy, his face is toxic,” the man with an unbeatable face card said. Powell then compared the person to Russ Holliday, the name of the character he plays in his new series Chad Powers.
The show follows Russ as a quarterback who falls from grace and disguises himself in order to join another football team, but while that character is redeemable, Powell said there was no coming back for the star he (annoyingly) refused to name.
“Russ Holliday is just a guy that made a mistake. He’s not a bad guy,” Powell said. “Some of these other people that get cancelled, they should lie where they’re shot.”
Who Is The Cancelled Celeb Glen Powell Was Referring To?
The only other deets we get as to the identity of this person is when Powell said “people are having a visceral reaction” to them “in terms of the bad choice they’ve made”, which at this rate, could quite literally be any number of men in Hollywood.
The jury was immediately out following Powell’s comments, with scores of social media users attempting to identify Mr. Toxic Face.

Some folks theorised it was actor and alleged cannibal fetishist Armie Hammer, while others put their bets on Kevin Spacey, Johnny Depp, James Franco or Shia LaBeouf.
None of these names are confirmed, but the sheer volume of Hollywood men it could be is pretty concerning. At least Powell is safe… well, depending on who you ask.
