Glenn Murray starts as Chris Hughton names Nottingham Forest team to face Wycombe

Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton handed Glenn Murray his full debut as the Reds chased a victory against  Wycombe this afternoon.

The striker, who has signed on a permanent deal until the end of the season from Brighton, figured as a second half sub in the 2-1 win over Coventry in midweek.

He replaced Lewis Grabban up front with the Reds forward not included on the substitutes' bench having been rested as a precaution.

That was one of two changes made by Hughton as he looked to build on a 2-1 win at Coventry City in midweek, a  victory that lifted Forest to 19th in the Championship table.

Goalkeeper Brice Samba, so impressive in midweek, was behind the back four of Cyrus Christie, Tobias Figueiredo, Joe Worrall and left-back Gaetan Bong.

Manchester United loanee Daniel Garner started alongside Cafu in a holding midfield role with the pair having performed solidly against the Sky Blues.

Ahead of  them, Filip Krovinovic was handed number 10 duty with Anthony Knockaert deployed on the right and Luke Freeman, who replaced the injured Sammy Ameobi, on the left-hand side.

Murray was tasked with leading the line on his own as Hughton stuck to his 4-2-3-1 formation.

On the subs bench, there was a return for Yuri Ribeiro after he served a three-match ban.

Forest: Samba, Christie, Figueiredo, Worrall, Bong, Cafu; Knockaert, Krovinovic, Freeman; Murray

Subs: Smith, Ribeiro, Mbe Soh, Colback, Jenkinson, Mighten, Lolley, Blackett, Taylor
