Glenn Hoddle believes Tottenham Hotspur's plans for next season are clear and obvious.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side suffered a crushing 2-0 defeat in the Champions League final on Saturday night, thanks to goals at the beginning and end from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi.
It confirmed Liverpool’s sixth European Cup in their history, and left Pochettino ruing missed opportunities.
For Hoddle, however, the plans for this summer are obvious, with the Spurs' legend believing Pochettino has earned a ‘pot of gold’ to spend during the transfer window.
"The fact we’re in the Champions League final," Hoddle told BT Sport. “We haven’t spent a penny this year, it’s amazing. He’s got a lovely ethos about the team, everything is about the team first.
"He’s such a humble guy. He’s a lovely guy he really is. I think the players really respect that side, not just him as a coach, but as a person.
“He’s done a lovely job building something and I like the way he’s given the young players a chance and he’s got a mix between the young players and some experienced players.
"If there’s a pot of gold there for next year, which I think there will be, he can add to that. I don’t think he needs that many. He just needs a couple of top players.
"If he wins the trophy and the stadium they’ve got, he can get some top players -- if he wants them.
"I think he wants team players."
