Glenda Gilson says she suffered sleepless nights during Dancing with the Stars

Glenda Gilson said she suffered from sleepless nights during Dancing With The Stars – and revealed she had to get her mother to help her around the house.

The presenter, who became the second celebrity to be eliminated last week, added her one-year-old son Bobby has been “stuck” to her since she left the show.

Lapping up her new rehearsal-free schedule, Glenda, 38 said: “I thought there would be a serious comedown but yesterday my husband took the day off work and it was lovely to hang out with him and Bobby, which was lovely.”

Glenda, who was training for hours with her dance partner Robert Rowinski, added her husband Rob is also enjoying the break from the show.

Speaking at the launch of the Thrive Festival in Dublin yesterday she said: “He was wrecked. He’s working and he’s taking over everything. But then you get used to it so Rob did that.

“I found when I was getting into bed at night, you’re wound up thinking of dance routines and thinking of everything.

“Then eventually I couldn’t sleep and when I did sleep you are just getting three or four hours.

“I had to get my mam to come over and do washing for me because kids go through a few outfits a day.”
