Glenavon vs Larne: Tiernan Lynch urges players to address recent struggles

Tiernan Lynch is urging an instant reaction as Larne look to get back to winning ways in tonight’s trip to Glenavon.

After taking maximum points from their opening three league games, the Inver Reds head to Mourneview Park with just one point from their last two outings.

A 1-0 defeat at Crusaders 10 days ago preceded a frustrating 0-0 home draw with derby rivals Carrick Rangers on Saturday.

“We let ourselves down on Saturday and we can’t accept that,” said Lynch, who knows a win tonight would propel Larne back up to second in the table.

“It was a poor performance and there was a lack of desire and drive. We had no tempo or penetration and it’s something we need to address.”

Ballymena United, hurting from Saturday’s 3-0 derby defeat at Coleraine, go in search of their first win of the season at home to Dungannon Swifts.
