Glen Road crash: Man taken to hospital after being hit by car

A man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in West Belfast on Saturday night.

It happened on the Glen Road after 10pm.

An Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed that he was brought by ambulance to the Royal Victoria Hospital after treatment at the scene.

He said: "We received a call just after 10pm on Saturday 13th April following reports of an RTC on the Glen Road in Belfast involving a car and a pedestrian.

"NIAS dispatched an emergency crew to the scene and following assessment and initial treatment on the scene, one male patient was taken by ambulance to the Royal Victoria Hospital."
