Glen Kamara to miss second leg of Bayer Leverkusen tie after picking up Rangers booking

Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara will miss the second leg of their last-16 Europa League tie against Bayer Leverkusen.

The 24-year-old was booked after 18 minutes of tonight’s first leg at Ibrox for a foul on right-back Mitchell Weiser.

The yellow card means Kamara will be suspended for next Thursday’s second leg in the BayArena.

Speaking earlier this week, Kamara said: "It is a huge week for the club but it is one we are all looking forward to.

"Now we want to deliver good performances. Some people write us off in Europe and they don't expect us to get results so hopefully we can prove them wrong.”

Ahead of tonight’s game, manager Steven Gerrard said: "These fans when they are in full voice and behind the team are up there with the best in Europe, if not the world, so we've already experienced that help.

"It's our responsibility to get them where we need them. We need to start the game on the front foot and really show a desire to go and make a right good game of this."
