Glen Kamara tipped to earn Rangers transfer windfall as midfielder backed for Premier League move

Teemu Pukki believes it's only a matter of time before Finland team-mate Glen Kamara makes the switch to the Premier League.

The Rangers midfielder has been impressing for club and country and has been linked with the likes of Newcastle and Everton.

Former Celtic striker Pukki believes Kamara has the ability to shine at that level, and would be willing to put money on a move happening.

Any deal would be a windfall for the Ibrox club, who signed the 24-year-old for just £50,000.

Pukki said: "Glen is a top player and I think he would definitely do well in the English Premier League.

"I'd bet on him playing there at some point in his career."

Kamara sat alongside Pukki at the press conference and thanked the striker for his words, but insists he's only focused on the present.

The former Dundee man replied: "I’m not focused on that kind of thing. I’m focusing on this game.

"I enjoy playing with the national team and enjoy the manager, enjoy the group of boys that I’m with, and it’s always an honour to play for the national team.

“Since I’ve started playing, I’ve enjoyed it. I’ve got to know the players, I’ve got to know how the team plays and I feel like I’ve fitted in quite well, so hopefully long may it continue.”
