Glen Kamara Rangers exit 'concern' as interested Serie A side exploring alternative options

Glen Kamara could be going nowhere in the transfer window if reports in Italy are to be understood with an interested Serie A seemingly looking elsewhere.

The Finnish midfielder is looking to revive his Rangers career after falling down the Ibrox pecking order under Dutch boss Giovanni Van Bronckhorst. Kamara, who signed for a nominal fee over four years ago, was a key part of the furniture under Steven Gerrard in Glasgow but has fallen by the wayside so far this season.

Kamara was reportedly a hot target for Ligue 1 outfit OGC Nice in the summer, with some outlets suggesting the 27-year-old was keen to explore options but was denied. But now the ace has the prospect of an Ibrox revival under Michael Beale and former Arsenal youth coach Neil Banfield, despite continued interested.

One of those parties tracking him are Serie A outfit Salernitana, but according to Tutto Salernitana, the club may now be looking at alternative options with the report stating Kamara is awaiting to see his role under Michael Beale before making any big decisions.

The Italian site also suggests that Rangers are 'not willing' to let the Finn go, but also confirms that the Serie A side have not fully given up their plight for his signature.
