Glen Kamara in Oasis-inspired Rangers tribute as electric midfielder hailed with reworked classic

While Connor Goldson grabbed the headlines for his derby double, another Rangers player sent fans wild with his display.

The Ibrox club achieved back-to-back wins at Celtic Park for the first time in 25 years, with even manager Steven Gerrard admitting he was surprised about the source of the two goals.

But it was Glen Kamara who had fans swooning on social media, with a clip circulating of the Finland international taking three Celtic players out of the game with a reverse pass.

And now the former Dundee man has been given a musical tribute to the tune of Oasis track 'She's Electric'.

The song appeared on 1995's (What's the Story) Morning Glory? and despite not being a single has become one of the band's best-known songs.

Twitter user @jodsx uploaded a cover written by Davie MacIntosh with the lyrics changed in homage to Kamara.

Select lines include "Glen Kamara/he fires the ball like an arra'/he does more miles than Mo Farah" as well as chorus dedicated to his £50,000 price tag.

It's not certain that original songwriter Noel Gallagher would approve though, as the Manchester City fan has also expressed his love of Celtic.

Raised by his Irish mother the Britpop legend is also pals with Parkhead gaffer Neil Lennon.

He told FourFourTwo in 2003: "I’ve met Neil Lennon for a drink in Glasgow – I wouldn’t hear a word against him.

"Like all Celtic players I’ve met he’s a good lad and doesn’t deserve the hassle. He was also a City player too."
