Glen Kamara has admitted his traumatised Finland teammates didn't want to play on after Christian Eriksen ’s shocking collapse during their clash with Denmark last month.
The Rangers midfielder was among the players involved in the Euro 2020 group match with the game scoreless between his Finnish side and the Danes when the match was postponed.
Eriksen was given emergency treatment as medics carried out CPR before the 29-year-old was thankfully described as being in a stable position after being rushed to hospital.
The game was postponed by English referee Anthony Taylor - but the Group B fixture was later restarted at the request of both players, including Kamara, with reports that Eriksen FaceTimed his team-mates.
Finland went on to win the game 1-0, but the decision to play on was widely criticised.
Kamara admits it was difficult to return to the pitch - but he's praised both sides for finishing the match.
Speaking to Rangers TV, he said: "I know most of the boys didn’t want to play on and it was a difficult one to come back out.
"I praise everyone who came back out and we’re really happy he’s okay.
"You never want to see stuff like that happen on the pitch.
"It was a hard one to take but credit to everyone who came out and played on."
