Glen Kamara given Finland support as ex Celtic striker Teemu Pukki calls for UEFA crackdown

Teemu Pukki has told UEFA to do the right thing after his Finland team-mate Glen Kamara was allegedly racially abused last week.

The ex- Celtic man has linked up with Kamara for international duty just five days after the incident that saw Kamara accuse Slavia Prague's Ondrej Kudela of calling him a 'f*****g monkey' during Rangers ' Europa League clash.

Pukki and the rest of his team-mates wore T-shirts emblazoned with the words 'I stand with Glenn' in support of the Rangers man when they trained on Tuesday.

The incident has sparked fresh calls for football's governing bodies to do more about racism within football.

And Pukki, who played for Celtic between 2013-15, has asked UEFA to hit Kudela with a lengthy ban if he is found guilty.

He said: "You have to eradicate stuff like that immediately. Racism does not belong anywhere.

"The only way to get rid of it is by UEFA handing out long sanctions.

"So the wise men in charge of football who make these decisions have a chance to get rid of racism by doing the right thing.

"Glen did exactly what he should have done by highlighting what was said to him immediately.

"There is no chance he would have reacted in that way unless something very bad was said to him.

"The way he reached clearly showed their player made a racist remark."
