Glen Kamara 'eyed' by Juventus as they look to test Rangers' hardline transfer stance

In-form Glen Kamara is being tracked by European heavyweights Juventus - according to a report.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard revealed last month a host of top clubs were keeping a close eye on the Finland international who will star for his country at Euro 2020.

The 24-year-old has been a roaring success at Ibrox since his bargain £50k move from Dundee in January.

Kamara has earned rave reviews for his displays this season and now the Serie A giants have emerged as potential suitors.

The all-action midfielder is also believed to be on the radar of Championship big-hitters Leeds United who remain keen on the former Arsenal graduate.

And now The Mail on Sunday claim Maurizio Sarri's side are weighing up a move for a player Rangers value in the region of £8million.

Juventus are loaded with midfield talent with the likes of Miralem Pjanic, Sami Khedira, Aaron Ramsey, Blaise Matuidi, Adrien Rabiot and Rodrigo Bentancur all battling for regular game time.

They are understood to view Kamara as "potential project player" but the Ibrox side's valuation could prove a stumbling block.

And Gerrard insists his side will not entertain offers for any of his key players with Rangers looking to wrestle the title away from rivals Celtic.

It comes after both the manager and departing chairman Dave King promised goal machine Alfredo Morelos would not be allowed to leave for any price when the January window opens.

Gerrard said: “None of my best players will leave in January. The only people who will be leaving here will be people who need game time for their own career. I need to support that and back that.

“I want to be understanding and show them the respect they deserve and try and help them get the right challenge for them to go out and play football.

“My message about Alfredo or anyone else is that nobody is for sale at any price.

“Nobody is going out the door in January. I can’t be clearer than that.

“We need to continue to try and keep our best players."
