Glen Kamara booed as Rangers star cops more abuse but this time from Sparta Prague KIDS

Glen Kamara has been subjected to JEERS by Sparta Prague fans during the Europa League clash with Rangers.

Steven Gerrard insisted he had no fears over the Finnish international travelling to the Czech capital despite last season’s ugly incident against Sparta’s city rivals Slavia.

The midfielder was the victim of a racial slur during the game at Ibrox which saw Ondrej Kudela hit with a lengthy ban - and Kamara also punished for an alleged altercation in the tunnel.

Kamara was in the spotlight ahead of the match, with Sparta Prague also punished by UEFA following racial abuse during their recent clash with Monaco.

The game was due to be played behind closed doors but that was relaxed and 10,000 supervised Under-14s were allowed to attend the Letna Stadium.

However, within minutes of kick off Kamara was jeered after his first touch of the ball by those inside the ground and the abuse continued throughout the game.

It’s a delicate moment with so much scrutiny and Gerrard has called for European football’s top brass to show more leadership to tackle the issue.

Kemar Roofe was also sent off against Slavia for a high challenge on goalkeeper Ondrej Kolar and there was an ugly fallout from the match.

And the striker was heckled as the Gers squad touched down at the airport in Prague with taunts of “the butchers from Glasgow”.
