Glen Kamara 'a Marseille transfer target' as Rangers star catches the eye in France

Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara has "caught the eye" of Ligue 1 giants Marseille - according to a report.

The Finland international is believed to have crossed boss Andre Villa-Boas' radar during Euro 2020 qualifiers.

A £50,000 arrival from Dundee in January 2019, the 24-year-old has become a key man for Steven Gerrard, making 39 appearances this season.

France Football report Marseille's interest but say the club would have to sell before making a move due to football's current perilous financial position.

It's claimed the club estimate Kamara could cost €8million.

The former Dundee star has also been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Aston Villa, Brighton and even Juventus in the past.

Speculation was rife during the January transfer window that an English club could make a move, but Kamara was keen to stress he was happy at Rangers.

He said: "The manager hasn’t spoken to me about the speculation at all.

"I’m a Rangers player, so until told otherwise that is my focus. Coming up to Scotland was definitely one of my best decisions.

“I wanted to get game-time under my belt and it has worked out well."
