Glee branded 'cursed' as fans expose creepy dummies used to fill out crowds

Glee has been branded 'cursed' for using scary-looking dummies instead of actors in one of its audience scenes.

The hit US musical series saw its cast perform popular hits to a packed audience, but one Glee fan spotted the crowd is actually packed out with lifeless dummies.

TikTok fanatic Kelly Sipos sent the world wild with her clip in which she made the surprising - albeit creepy - discovery during The Homecoming episode in season four of the show.

In a video that instantly went viral on social media, the Glee fan called out the show's creator Ryan Murphy after she spotted the dummies.

She can be heard saying: "So I’m just noticing in Glee, there are dummies in the crowd. This needs to be seen. I'm terrified. Ryan Murphy explain."

The discovery left Gleeks gobsmacked, as fans rushed to Twitter to comment on the surprising turn of events.

One fan wrote: "GLEE FILLED THEIR AUDIENCES WITH DUMMIES THAT SHOW WAS TRULY CURSED."

Another tweeted: "Omfg… just when you think you’ve seen all the horrors the world has to show…"

Another godsmacked fan penned: "Can’t believe they used dummies when I, a 16 year old Live Dummy, would have done this for free."

While a third added: "My whole childhood ruined, never notice those poor dummies. This is actually really unsettling."

It comes as the show's lead star Lea Michele found herself in hot water after a number of Glee stars accused her of being racist and a bully.

Actress Samantha Ware was the first to slap Lea with accusations, saying she "made her life a living hell" and accused her of threatening to defecate in her wig.

Among the shocking claims that followed she was accused of calling extras "cockroaches" and burping in a black woman's faces.

With her back against the wall, Lea was forced to issue a public apology.

She said: "While I don't remember ever making this specific statement and I have never judged others by their background or colour of their skin, that's not really the point.

"What matters is that I clearly acted in ways which hurt other people. Whether it was my privileged position and perspective that caused me to be perceived as insensitive or inappropriate at times..."

She added: "Or whether it was just my immaturity and me just being unnecessarily difficult, I apologise for my behaviour and for any pain which I have caused.

"We can all grow and change and I have definitely used these past several months to reflect on my own shortcomings."

Mirror Online has contacted Lea's reps for further comment.
