Glaswegians wanted to work in 'award-winning' hotel on main route to Isle of Skye

If you want to escape the city life and opt for a more peaceful way of living, then a move to the Highlands could be on the cards for you.

And if the thought alone is appealing, then it could be your sign to make the move with a supervisor job offer to oversee the award-winning Scottish Highland Country Inn, Invergarry Hotel, just newly advertised.

On the road to Skye and the Western Isles, it offers a stunning location and the job is a full-time and permanent position with a yearly salary of between £25,000 - £27,000.

According to the job description, the Hotel Front of House Supervisor position will see the successful candidate work in the busy four star Highland Country Inn.

Overseeing the busy Brasserie, said to be a relaxed restaurant and bar, as well as ensuring customers are taken care of, they add that you will have to do the following:

  • Manning Reception and Customer Service
  • Bar Work, Coffee Service and Barista, Table waiting for Food & Drink, Running of Food
  • Meeting & Greeting Customers
  • Room Checks and highlighting Maintenance required
  • Check ins and showing to rooms
  • Use of Electronic Till System for orders and Hotel bills - Guest Check outs
  • Telephone Call Handling
  • General Cleaning, washing up, looking after tidiness of the Hotel
  • Line Cleaning and Cellar work

Expected to work 42 hours per week work which is marked as "flexible", the candidate is also expected to work weekends and weekdays but this is once again said to be "flexible."

The full time contract comes with 28 days holiday per annum as well as a Pension Scheme.

In addition to this, there is also a travel allowance which is available to people residing in Lochaber with over 12 miles travel.

Writing about who they're looking for stating they need someone with a "can do attitude", a "smart appearance" and with previous bar work or Hotel / Cafe work serving customers being essential, they add: "We are looking for people who can smile and have a customer friendly attitude and genuinely want to talk to customers and look after them."
