Glaswegians wanted as extras for An Inspector Calls production at Theatre Royal

The producers of An Inspector Calls, which runs at the Theatre Royal next month are on the hunt for people to take part in the spine-chilling production.

There are eight volunteer walk-on roles up for grabs for a crowd scene during the play’s week long run from March 24 to 28.

To apply, hopefuls should email charlotte.e.peters@gmail.com with their name, date of birth and a recent photo no later than this Monday (March 2) with AIC: GLASGOW in the subject line.

The production of An Inspector Calls is directed by the world-renowned theatre and film director Stephen Daldry. Stephen’s theatre credits include The Audience, Skylight and Billy Elliot The Musical. His film credits include The Hours, The Reader and Billy Elliot, all of which earned him Academy Award nominations for Best Director. Most recently he has directed several episodes of the Netflix smash hit series The Crown, for which he is also Producer.

Written at the end of the Second World War and set before the First, An Inspector Calls is a haunting thriller. The story begins when the mysterious Inspector Goole calls unexpectedly on the prosperous Birling family home, shattering their peaceful family dinner party with his investigations into the death of a young woman.

The productions stars stars Liam Brennan, Christine Kavanagh, as Jeff Harmer, Alasdair Buchan, Chloe Orrock, Ryan Saunders and Diana Payne-Myers.
